  • Who was Isaiah?
  • Prophets - Who were they? What did they do?
  • Scripture: Isaiah 58:6-10
  • What do you think those verses mean?
  • Fasting - What is it? For what purpose?
  • How do these verses differ from the ‘traditional’ idea of fasting?
Reflective Questions:
  • How does this passage challenge our understanding of worship?
  • What are some practical ways we can embrace true worship by addressing injustice and caring for those in need?
  • How can we break free from the self-centered mindset that often creeps into our worship practices?
  • How do you think our acts of love and compassion impact our relationship with God?




Peter's Vision

Scripture Questions:
  • What was Peter's vision and what was it actually about?
  • When Pete had the vision did he immediately know what it meant?
  • Do you think it would have been challenging for Peter to come to term with Jesus asking him to share the good news with the gentiles? 
Reflective Questions:
  • Can you think of any other stories where God speaks to people either through visions or dreams?
  • Does Jesus God always speak plainly in the bible? Why or why not?
  • What can we do if we are unsure if we are hearing from God or not?
  • God can often speak to us through analogies or images that represent something else. Have you ever had an image or vision pop into your head while praying, worshiping or spending time with God?
  • Can you think of someone who you don’t get along with? What are ways we can be more inclusive or loving towards them despite not getting along?
